Allen M. Lawrence, CIC

Allen M. Lawrence CIC, is a Partner of Acrisure, LLC, a top-10 global insurance broker and fintech financial services provider. Allen has long been combining his insurance expertise with public service.
In 1982 the Governor appointed him to the California Health Facilities Commission. He served as Vice Chair from 1983 to 1985 and as Chair of the Public Liaison Committee. In 1992 the Insurance Commissioner recognized Allen for distinguished service on the Commissioner’s Consumer Complaints Unfair Practices Task Force.
January 2000, the Governor appointed Allen to serve on the California Transportation Commission. In 2001, he was elected to serve as Chairman of the California Transportation Commission. The Governor reappointed him in March 2002 as a member of the California Transportation Commission where he served for four more years.

Today, Allen serves as Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Val*Pac, the San Fernando Valley Business Political Awareness Committee. Previously, he served as their Chairman from 1992 to 2007. Since 2003, Allen has served on the Board of Trustees of the California Truckers’ Safety Association and is a member of The California Trucking Association. He also served on the Board of Directors of 5 Star Theatricals and was recently President of the Malibu Bay Club Homeowners Association

Allen is a member of The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers and earned his CIC designation from The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. He also proudly served from 2001 - 2011 on the California Department of Insurance Agents and Brokers Advisory Committee advising the senior staff of three consecutive Insurance Commissioners.

Allen also served as a National Commissioner, a Member of the National Executive Committee, and the Regional Board of the Anti-Defamation League and on the Board of the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley where he was honored to receive their Champion of Youth Award and their Spirit of Philanthropy Award.

Other endeavors in Allen’s past include having served on the Board of Trustees of the Sherman Oaks Hospital from 1984 to 1988, and between 1996 and 2000 he served as the Los Angeles Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He has been named as one of the most influential leaders in the San Fernando Valley and surrounding areas in 2021, 2022 and 2023 by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal.

On February 1, 2025, the membership of the California Trucking Association honored Allen by expressing their appreciation for his pioneering role in the development of California’s Trucking Industry during their 2025 annual membership meeting.
